BPE Hoof Soak is a dry product to be mixed with water as required and comes in a 1KG resealable bag
BPE Hoof Soak is suitable for use with horses to assist in drawing out infection in the hoof, cleans and disinfects and provides mild pain relief.
- Shake the bag well to mix the ingredients.
- Add 1 cup (250ml) of Hoof Soak to 8 cups (2 litres) of boiling water. For added benefit, add 1/4 cup (80ml) of Apple Cider Vinegar.
- Stir to dissolve the salts, charcoal and herbs.
- Allow to cool enough so that it is still hot, however you can hold your hand comfortably in the water for 1 minute.
- Soak the hoof up to the coronet band for at least 10 minutes, or as long as the horse will allow.
- For external equine use only.
- Store out of the sun in a cool dry area.
BPE Hoof Soak can also be used as a poultice, Mix as per above then soak a nappy, or cotton pad with the mix. Sprinkle some additional dry Hoof Soak onto the pad and then wrap the hoof. Leave as long as necessary.

BPE Hoof Soak contains the following active ingredients.
Magnesium Sulphate - commonly known as Epson Salts, makes up the bulk of our Hoof Soak recipe. It is known to help draw out the infection that causes very painful hoof abscess's and also provide some mild pain relief.
Activated Coconut Charcoal - Made from the left over coconut components after the oil is made, firstly by processing it at high temperature and then “activating” it with steam. Thanks to this process, the charcoal expands creating a porous surface that traps toxins. The charcoals natural ability to absorb has been boosted by the activation. Charcoal is used both as a detoxifier to remove toxins and it has the ability to bind to dirt and infection and draw it away from the body.
Cloves - Fine powdered cloves are used in Hoof Soak to help removed the dead skin cells and help in blood circulation of he hoof. Cloves are also known to have both antibacterial and anti fungal properties. Cloves also provide mild pain relief.
Lemon Rind - is rich in antioxidants which tend to detoxify the skin and body from infection. It also has both antifungal and antibacterial properties to assist in the healing and prevention of infection.
