BPE Repel & Repair

Repels | Soothes | Restores

This is the balm that might not smell like roses… but works like magic.
You’ll either love it or hate it—but after a few applications, we’re confident you’ll be hooked by the results.

Developed from personal experience with chronic itch, BPE Repel & Repair was born when Eclipse, our beloved Friesian, needed something more than the usual store-bought solutions. That’s when we discovered the power of Neem Oil—and we’ve never looked back.

This all-natural ointment is formulated to repel biting insects while simultaneously soothing and repairing irritated skin. Whether it’s midges, dry patches, rain scald, or rub marks, Repel & Repair provides lasting comfort and visible results.

🐴 Why You’ll Love It

  • Dual-action formula: repels and repairs

  • Rich in soothing botanicals and essential oils

  • 100% natural, handmade in NSW

  • Trusted by hundreds of horse owners Australia-wide, with over 3000 tubs sold!

✨ Key Ingredients & Benefits

Neem Oil (25%)
A powerful natural insect deterrent and skin remedy, neem helps stop midges from biting, soothes irritation, softens scabs, and supports rapid hair regrowth. Note: Neem’s strong scent comes from its natural sulphur compounds.

Citronella Java Oil
High-grade essential oil with insect-repelling and antiseptic properties, perfect for itchy and inflamed skin.

Beeswax
Creates a protective barrier while allowing the skin to breathe. Anti-inflammatory and rich in vitamin A for skin regeneration.

Coconut Oil
Hydrates deeply, reduces inflammation, and increases collagen production to support healing.

Vitamin E
A powerful antioxidant that helps repair damaged skin, reduce itchiness, and extend shelf life—no need for synthetic preservatives.

Aloe Vera
Soothes burns, bites, and rashes while delivering antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Rosemary Oil
Stimulates circulation, supports hair growth, and soothes irritated skin.

⚠️ Notes from the Maker

  • Smell: Neem oil has a strong, earthy scent—some love it, others don’t. But its results speak for themselves.

  • Texture & Colour: Coconut and neem oils are temperature-sensitive, so the balm may soften in warm weather and firm up in winter. Colour may vary from golden to deep brown depending on the neem oil batch—this is completely normal and does not affect performance.

  • Staining: As an oil-based product, it may stain rugs—rugging is recommended for itchy horses.

  • Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place out of sunlight.

  • Safety: We recommend not using on pregnant mares, or if pregnant yourself, especially in the first 3 months, or if trying to conceive. Wear gloves to avoid lingering scent. Always spot test before first use.

🧴 Available Sizes

🐎 Directions for Use

Apply to clean, dry skin once or twice daily. Massage deeply into rub marks, manes, tails, and irritated areas—especially at the roots. Use daily until skin has calmed, then reduce to every second day. For best results, avoid bathing your horse for at least 1 week after initial application to allow the oils to fully absorb and do their work.
